A new reconnaissance drone of the aircraft type "Klyuch-razvedchik" has been developed in Russia, according to a representative of the Center for Unmanned Competencies with the call sign Bars.
According to him, tests have already begun on the new product, which can stay in the air for up to 90 minutes. The advantage of the "Klyuch-razvedchik" is that it takes off and is controlled like a regular commercial copter such as the Mavic.
After reaching the required altitude, the drone switches to airplane mode and then flies like an airplane. Takeoff can be carried out both from the hand and from the case.
Bars added that the body of the device is made of foam, which will significantly reduce its production cost. More detailed characteristics of the new product are not yet known.
