Goodbye, Hyundai Solaris: Solaris HS assembly completely stopped — Solaris KRS, formerly Kia Rio, is replacing it

The last batch was completely sold out

Production of Solaris HS sedans (formerly Hyundai Solaris) in Russia has ceased, according to Avtostat. The last large batch of cars arrived at the dealer network of AG Avilon in early 2025 and has already been completely sold out. There have been no official comments from AGR Holding yet.

Ilya Petrov, Retail Sales Director of AG Avilon, said that the resumption of HS model production is not planned. Instead, the company offers the Solaris KRS sedan, formerly known as Kia Rio, which is a modern and technological alternative to the previous Solaris.

To date, there are still two versions in the Solaris model range: the Solaris HC crossover (formerly Hyundai Creta) and the Solaris KRX cross-hatchback (Kia Rio X-Line). The completion of Solaris HS production reflects the Russian market's transition to new modifications and the strengthening of Kia Rio's position in the brand's lineup.

Customers interested in the model may consider Solaris KRS as the main option to replace Solaris HS, and dealers continue to offer the remaining versions for various segments — from sedans to crossovers and cross-hatchbacks.
