The Government of the Khabarovsk Territory and JSC "Helicopter Service Company" have signed an agreement providing for the construction in the region of a Center for the maintenance, repair and modernization of Russian-made helicopters and units from their systems. The project will become part of the first stage of the Helicopter Cluster development in the region's capital.
According to the press service of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation, the investment in construction will amount to 3.3 billion rubles. It is planned that the new enterprise will provide jobs for at least 200 people. At the initial stage, a service center will be built for the maintenance and overhaul of Mi-8/17 helicopters of various modifications, as well as Ka-52 reconnaissance and attack combat vehicles.
The center will repair transmission units, fuel and hydraulic systems, tail rotor, struts, on-board electrical network, aviation and radio-electronic equipment; modification of helicopters according to industry bulletins. The center's workload will be 12-15 helicopters per year.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Khabarovsk Territory, Sergei Abramov, who signed the agreement, emphasized that the Far Eastern Aviation Service Center is engaged in the repair of helicopter equipment in our region. This enterprise, founded more than 90 years ago, needs significant investments to modernize its material and technical base.
