Over 400 vulnerabilities have been discovered in car and scooter rental applications. Moreover, 25 of them have a high level of criticality. This was reported to journalists by a representative of Appsec Solutions.
Thus, some applications store sensitive data in open access: passport photos, bank cards, and geolocation. The increase in the number of vulnerabilities is associated with the increasing complexity of the architecture of mobile applications and staff turnover in companies, according to Alexander Bleznekov, head of the information security department at the "Telecom Exchange".
Experts believe that companies are practicing replacing experienced developers with less qualified specialists. The latter actively use AI to write code. This approach reduces the quality of software. The number of vulnerabilities is growing.
