Количество хакерских атак в России выросло почти на 50% за полгода

Instead of selling stolen data, hackers now seek to disrupt the operation of organizations

In Russia, the activity of hacker groups increased by almost 50% in the first six months of 2025. According to Positive Technologies, 391 cyberattacks were recorded in the second quarter, 41% more than in the first quarter.

According to T.Hunter experts, attackers have switched to more frequent and targeted attacks, including an increase in the number of attacks using ransomware. Politically motivated hacktivists often do not sell stolen data, but publish it in the public domain, seeking to disrupt companies, cause failures, and destroy important information.

Among the most active groups are Dark Gaboon (attacking Russian organizations), Cloud Atlas (focused on government structures), and PhantomCore. Experts warn: these groups pose a serious threat, especially for companies with limited cybersecurity budgets.

The increase in cyberattacks increases the risks of leakage of personal and corporate data, service outages, and disruption of critical infrastructure.
