"Flying Chernobyl": Will Russia Test the Burevestnik Nuclear-Powered Missile?

The missile has an unlimited range

Russia is likely preparing to conduct new tests of the nuclear-powered Burevestnik missile, according to Decker Eveleth, a specialist at the American Center for Naval Analysis (CNA).

According to him, the upcoming tests of the Burevestnik, which in the United States was nicknamed "Flying Chernobyl", are evidenced by active work at the Pankovo test site on the Novaya Zemlya archipelago.

Russian President Vladimir Putin reported in October 2023 that the military had also conducted successful tests of the Burevestnik. According to data from open sources, the missile can strike from almost any vector.

Also in March 2018, the head of state noted that Russia had developed a small-sized nuclear installation for cruise missiles, due to which they would receive an almost unlimited range.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the rate of delivery of Su-57 fighters to the Russian Aerospace Forces has increased.
