JSC "TSNIITOCHMASH" (part of the "Kalashnikov" concern) has fully supplied a batch of modernized 9 mm SR.2M submachine guns to the customer under a state contract.
The 9 mm SR.2M submachine gun is a modernized version of the 9 mm SR2 submachine gun – designed to engage manpower, including those in level 2 personal protective equipment, as well as unarmored vehicles at ranges up to 200 m.
To improve ease of fire control, a front folding handle was introduced, and a stop was made on the muzzle to prevent fingers from entering the muzzle area of the barrel when gripping the forend or front handle in extreme situations.
Designers of TSNIITOCHMASH improved the mechanism for fixing the SR.2M buttstock, which ensures reliable retention in the folded position and a quick, convenient transition from the stowed position to the combat position. To improve the convenience of aimed shooting, the angle of the buttstock folding has been increased.
