The Lada Iskra model will not receive a 1.8-liter engine with a capacity of 122 hp. This was announced by the chief engineer of the project, Vitaly Loginov.
The installation of the VAZ-21179 power unit was not initially considered. This engine is not included in the lineup for the new model.
At the start of sales, Lada Iskra is available with two engines. The basic version is equipped with an eight-valve VAZ-11182 engine with a capacity of 90 hp, working in tandem with a 5-speed manual transmission. The second option is a 106-horsepower VAZ-21127 with 16 valves, which is offered either with a CVT or with a 6-speed manual gearbox. There are also plans for a 1.6-liter engine with a capacity of 120 hp. However, the timing of its appearance has not yet been announced.
The initial price of Lada Iskra is 1.25 million rubles, but there are virtually no cars available.
