Russian Military Deploys Drone with Lightened Kalashnikov Assault Rifle Paired with Reconnaissance Drone

The "Arbalet" Firing System Was Developed by Army "Kulibins"

Servicemen of the "West" group of troops eliminated an enemy sniper pair using a drone equipped with a lightened Kalashnikov assault rifle, the Russian Ministry of Defense press service reported.

The "Arbalet" firing system, which is based on the Kalashnikov assault rifle, is used in combat operations.

There was a case when our reconnaissance drone discovered a sniper pair. And a drone with "Arbalet" came from behind and hit the target.

Army "Kulibins" removed the muzzle brake-compensator and other parts from the Kalashnikov. A recoil damping mechanism was integrated into the firing system.

The servicemen planned to use a drone with 5.45 mm cartridges loaded with buckshot. Later, they began to use standard ammunition for the Kalashnikov assault rifle.
