С креслами от Superjet и ручками от УАЗа: в России представят вездеход Terranica Expedition за 200 тыс. долларов

The first prototype will appear at VDNH this week

Three years after the start of work, Terranica is preparing to release the first prototype of its new Expedition all-terrain vehicle. Initially, the project arose from a request from the Cardi design bureau to update the outdated Dreamtrack model. However, in the process, it became obvious that a more effective solution would be to develop a completely new hybrid all-terrain vehicle, which led to the emergence of Terranica Expedition.

This all-terrain vehicle has a solid frame, in the construction of which plastic panels (external and internal) are used, some of which are reinforced with polyurethane foam. Its sealed chassis, like a boat hull, is complemented by side pontoons inside the tracks to ensure buoyancy and stability on the water. Movement is provided by a hybrid system: a turbo engine with a generator, a battery (up to 3 hours of autonomous operation) and two 30 kW electric motors on the front rollers. In future production models, the power of electric motors is planned to be increased to 40–50 kW.

The interior of the car is a mixture of parts from various manufacturers: the multimedia system is taken from Geely, the ventilation deflectors are from Haval, the door handle is from UAZ, and the seats were borrowed from the Sukhoi Superjet aircraft. Control is carried out using an electronic system that simulates reverse force. The official premiere of the novelty is scheduled for August 2-3 as part of the "ProDvizhenie" automobile festival, which will be held at VDNH in Moscow.
