Former General Motors plant to be relaunched in Russia

The plant will start producing Jaecoo cars under the Jeland brand

"AGR Holding" plans to relaunch the former General Motors plant in St. Petersburg in approximately two months. Currently, the company is actively preparing the welding and painting shops to organize a full cycle of car production.

At the new stage of the plant's operation, it is planned to assemble Jaecoo J6, Jaecoo J7, and Jaecoo J8 models, which will be produced under the Jeland brand. This will be a significant step in restoring production capacity at the site, which in the past produced cars of brands such as Chevrolet, Opel, and Cadillac.

It is worth noting that in June, the GM plant in Shushary marked the 10th anniversary of its official conservation, which emphasizes the long history of this enterprise and its importance to the automotive industry in the region.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that "AGR Holding" is betting on the new Tenet brand with investments for 20 years.
