The first Russian logistics robot platform "Belka" has started production in Moscow. It delivers goods and products from the entrance to apartments without the involvement of couriers. The developer is the company "Dronshab."
The robot transports goods weighing up to 30 kg, works autonomously for up to 6 hours, and returns to charging on its own. It interacts with the building's infrastructure: opens doors, calls the elevator, and goes to the desired floor. For navigation, "Belka" uses lidars and cameras, and when connected to cloud services, it synchronizes with the building's engineering systems.
In addition to delivery, the robot can clean rooms, serve rooms in hotels, or work as a waiter. Currently, "Belka" is produced in small batches, the price is from 1 to 2 million rubles. The main customers are developers, courier services, and representatives of HoReCa (an abbreviation of the English words Hotel, Restaurant, Cafe or Catering).
In June, "Dronshab" and the elevator company "Modtfil" successfully tested the integration of the robot with home systems. According to Vladimir Popov from "Modtfil", delivery automation is in demand due to safety and convenience requirements. Domestic development is easier to adapt than foreign counterparts.
