The State Duma of Russia in the third and final reading adopted a bill that prohibits the purchase of electronic train tickets through aggregators that do not have an agreement with the carrier. This information appeared on the website of the lower house of parliament.
It is not allowed to issue electronic travel documents (tickets) in the absence of an agreement concluded with the carrier.
After the law is approved in the Federation Council and signed by President Vladimir Putin, only the carriers themselves and their official representatives will be able to sell electronic tickets. This change is aimed at protecting consumer rights and simplifying the ticket purchase process, as well as increasing transparency in the field of transport services.
Earlier, Russian Railways (RZD) and Wildberries signed an agreement on the joint development of digital services for passengers. The marketplace platform will organize the sale of tickets for railway transport.
