The first Lada Aura has been sold in the UAE - the Russian sedan went for 120 thousand dirhams (approximately 2.6 million rubles), which is more expensive than local prices for Toyota Camry and Haval H7.
The car is presented in the top version Status with a light-colored leather interior. Under the hood is a 1.8-liter engine with 122 hp and a CVT.
Why this matters: the export of Lada Aura in the premium segment indicates Russia's attempt to enter new markets with more expensive models, competing with global brands even outside the budget class.
