The number of accidents involving personal mobility devices (PMDs), such as e-scooters, has significantly decreased in Moscow.
According to the Moscow Department of Transport, the number of such accidents decreased by 60% in January–June 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. Accidents involving injured children decreased by 50%.
Key measures that influenced the statistics include mandatory user verification via Mos ID, restricting access to rentals for minors, reducing the maximum speed to 20 km/h, and automatic slowdown in congested areas. Traffic police checks and round-the-clock monitoring of the road situation are also ongoing.
