Russia will reduce the cost of domestic cars and increase labor productivity in the automotive industry. Head of Government Mikhail Mishustin instructed to take this into account in the updated draft Strategy for the Development of the Automotive Industry.
Mishustin also instructed to form a forecast of the structure of the car fleet.
It should take into account the development of the transport market for alternative fuels, connected and unmanned transport. In the process of this work, prospective plans for the development of public transport infrastructure, increasing environmental requirements, and changing consumer preferences should be taken into account.
The head of the Cabinet instructed to form measures of state support for domestic automakers of the main segments of vehicles and determine the conditions for admission to them, including export prospects, high localization and consumer properties of cars.
