The company "Sputnix" LLC presented a new generation SG3 cubesat platform at the international symposium RusNanoSat-2025. This was reported in the company's press service.
The new facilities allow producing at least 30 satellites of 16U size per year based on the SG3 platform.
The SG3 satellite platform is a new generation of cubesat platforms that takes into account the extensive experience of "Sputnix" in developing, mass-producing, and operating spacecraft for various purposes. The platform is scalable from a 2U to 16U form factor and compatible with previous generations of platforms (SXC) and other products developed by the company: ground stations, test benches, software.
The new version of the cubesat platform improves the possibilities for placing payloads for various purposes. Specialists have modernized the attitude determination unit and improved the characteristics of the attitude control and stabilization system of the spacecraft. It is also now possible to connect onboard atomic clocks and a fiber optic angular rate sensor to the control system.
The SG3 platform supports a high-speed Earth-to-space communication channel in the S-band and includes an onboard target data processing unit that uses artificial intelligence technologies for rapid data analysis directly in space. This opens up new horizons for the use of cubesats in various fields.
