Combine Operators in Russia Begin Training with 3D Simulators

The introduction of simulators based on the Rostselmash RSM 161 combine helps future machine operators acquire agricultural machinery operation skills

A new computer training simulator for combine operators has been launched in Russia. The presentation of the innovative device took place in early July 2025 at a specialized exhibition organized by the largest domestic agricultural machinery manufacturer, Rostselmash.

The new 3D simulator of the modern Rostselmash RSM 161 combine harvester cab is designed similarly to aviation simulators. Its dimensions correspond to the real dimensions of the combine cab, and the instrument panel consists of three monitors, creating the effect of an agrarian's presence in real conditions.

The training module is capable of fully simulating the behavior of the combine in various operating conditions. It can be used both in educational institutions of agricultural profile and for advanced training of agricultural enterprises employees.

Given the high cost of modern combines, the use of 3D simulators for training future machine operators is becoming a reasonable solution. Prices for such complexes range from 1 to 3 million rubles, according to information from developer websites.
