In Moscow, users made over 32 million trips on rental e-scooters in the first 3.5 months of the season. Deputy Mayor Maxim Liksutov reported that mandatory verification via Mos ID has been introduced to improve safety, allowing the identification and blocking of underage accounts.
During this period, services blocked 46,000 accounts, 32,000 of which were for age non-compliance. In addition, 39,000 fines were issued for traffic violations recorded by both traffic police officers and cameras with artificial intelligence since the beginning of the season.
Thanks to comprehensive measures, the number of serious accidents involving e-scooters in Moscow has decreased by 25% compared to last year, despite the number of scooters for rent (60,000) remaining stable.
