In Moscow, users made over 32 million trips on electric scooters during the first 3.5 months of the rental season. Deputy Mayor Maxim Liksutov reported that mandatory verification via Mos ID has been introduced to improve safety, allowing the identification and blocking of underage accounts.
During this period, services blocked 46 thousand accounts, 32 thousand of which were for age non-compliance. In addition, 39 thousand fines have been issued since the beginning of the season for traffic violations recorded by both traffic police inspectors and cameras with artificial intelligence.
Thanks to comprehensive measures, the number of serious accidents involving electric scooters in Moscow has decreased by 25% compared to last year, despite the number of scooters for rent (60 thousand) remaining stable.
