UMG presented a new RT-6 snow groomer, which was developed in-house and will be produced at the Chelyabinsk Construction and Road Machines plant (ChSDM).
This specialized transport is designed to create smooth and dense snow surfaces, making it ideal for preparing ski slopes and winter sports grounds.
Technical characteristics of the RT-6 snow groomer:
- Weight - 6.3 tons.
- Engine - YaMZ-536, with a capacity of 313 hp (the most powerful in its class).
- Fuel tank - 250 liters (the most capacious).
- Maximum speed - 24 km/h.
- Milling speed - 16 km/h.
- Load capacity - up to 1500 kg on the loading platform.
- Cabin capacity - one seat for a passenger, the possibility of installing a passenger cabin for 8 people.
The RT-6 snow groomer can be used not only for preparing ski slopes, but also for winter roads, transporting goods in the Arctic, as well as at airfields and highways to maintain the quality of snow cover.
In 2025, it is planned to assemble a pilot batch of six units, and from 2026, small-scale production of this machine will begin.
