An ambitious project to create an "automobile Stonehenge" from old Soviet cars has started in the Altai Territory. This was announced by Vladimir Kurdyumov, director of the Novosibirsk Museum "Gallery of Time".

The installation plans to use more than 50 examples of Soviet technology, of which 24 cars have already been installed.
The idea came last year - to make a park of museums where you can see several museums in one place without moving anywhere in Altai. In addition, we have accumulated a certain number of old cars that can no longer be restored. We decided to give them a second life.
The installation will be a ring structure resembling an ancient megalithic complex. Unlike similar projects in other countries, where cars are painted in one color, Russia decided to preserve the original appearance of each car. Among the interesting models, you can see the "Zaporozhets eared" ("ZAZ-968"), "Zaporozhets hunchback" ("ZAZ-965"), as well as "GAZ-M18".
This is not just a place for photos, it is a space for interaction. People will be able to approach the cars, touch them, and listen to stories about each model.
The organizers hope that after the completion of the work, the "automobile Stonehenge" will become a bright landmark of the region and will attract the attention of both domestic and international tourists.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Moscow free museum of the ZIL plant with rare cars is closing.
