В России выделили полосу радиочастот под 5G: Минцифры проведет аукционы для операторов связи

The first auctions will be held before the end of 2025

The Russian State Commission for Radio Frequencies has allocated the 4800-4990 MHz frequency band for the construction of fifth-generation (5G) communication networks, according to the Ministry of Digital Affairs of Russia.

Following the commission's meeting, the ministry clarified that an order to conduct auctions for frequencies in the specified range will be approved based on this decision. The document will establish the terms of the auction and the starting price of the lots.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Digital Affairs, Maksut Shadayev, reported that the first auctions for operators for 5G frequencies are planned to be held before the end of 2025. The proceeds will be used to support the construction and development of fifth-generation networks in Russia.

The 3400–3800 MHz frequency range, called the "golden" range, is considered optimal for providing high-speed data transmission in 5G networks. The Ministry of Digital Affairs allows the possibility of using these frequencies in some regions of Russia.
