Уникального робота-шахтёра представили инженеры в Твери

The "Gnutel 5.0" robot with a powerful pickaxe is ready for battle at the international "Battle of Robots" championship

The "Unbending" team of engineers from Tver has announced their new combat mining robot, "Gnutel 5.0". It will participate in the international "Battle of Robots" championship. The Tver robot stands out among its rivals due to its unusual design: instead of the usual cutting mechanisms, it is equipped with a powerful pneumatic pickaxe capable of delivering blows with a force of up to one ton.

Its body is made entirely of metal, and the parts are manufactured using modern laser cutting and welding technologies. The pneumatic system, operating on carbon dioxide, provides an instant response from the striking mechanism. The creators of the robot are confident that this design will allow it to "extract metal" from the bodies of opponents, which adds an element of strategy to the battle. Tver engineers are confident that their development combines simplicity of design and high combat effectiveness.

The third season of "Battle of Robots" promises to be particularly interesting. A record number of teams are participating in it — 306, including educational institutions, commercial organizations, and private teams.
