Of all social networks and messengers, Russians spend the most time during the day on Telegram. This was shown by a VCIOM poll. Respondents were asked how many hours a day they spend on various digital platforms.
Telegram became the absolute leader: 16% of respondents admitted that they spend more than 6 hours a day in the messenger, another 12% - from 5 to 6 hours, 27% - from 3 to 4 hours, and the same amount - from 1 to 2 hours. For comparison, only 6% of Russians spend more than 6 hours on YouTube, and only 5% on VKontakte.
As for content type preferences, text posts are of greatest interest - they are read by 48% of users. This is followed by long videos (41%), short videos (33%) and images (14%). The most popular topics were humor (56%), education and science (49%) and international news (44%).
At the same time, most users remain passive consumers: 45% almost never publish their own content, and 42% do so no more than once a month. Only 2% of Russians create and post something daily.
