Providers Cover 98% of Domestic Market Needs in Cloud Technologies

The Russian market also has a number of solutions for training and working with large language models

Russian providers cover almost 98% of the market's needs in cloud technologies. This statement was made by CEO of MWS Cloud, Executive Director of MTS Web Services Igor Zarubinsky on the sidelines of SPIEF.

About 98% of all needs of the Russian market in cloud technologies are covered by domestic providers. These are infrastructure services: virtual machines, data storage, backup services, as well as PaaS solutions for managing Docker images, Kubernetes clusters, and databases like ClickHouse, Kafka, PostgreSQL.

The Russian market offers various solutions for training and using large language models. Services for storing and analyzing big data in the cloud, as well as business applications based on the SaaS model, are also available.

The specialist noted that the remaining 2% includes highly specialized software based on the SaaS model, specialized databases, and some development tools. He also emphasized that all these needs can be met with the help of industry integrators and the customers' own IT teams.

Large businesses in Russia are actively implementing cloud technologies. They are less popular in the medium and small segments. Provider Nubes found that 95% of large companies already use cloud solutions. Among medium-sized enterprises, this figure is 35%, and among small ones — only 10%.
