According to a joint study by T1 and the Russosoft Association, two-thirds of Russian industrial enterprises are experiencing difficulties replacing foreign software. The greatest difficulties arise in the segments of industrial software, design systems, and production automation.
34.6% of surveyed companies from various industries noted problems with the transition to domestic analogues, but in industry, this figure reaches 66.7%. Among the key barriers:
- High cost of Russian solutions
- Availability of more functional foreign analogues
- Lack of funding for the transition
- Incompatibility with current systems
- Employee resistance to new solutions
- Bureaucratic difficulties in conditions of uncertainty
About 60% of respondents did not find complete Russian analogues on the market that are comparable in capabilities to foreign products. At the same time, the same number of companies consider the prices for domestic software to be inflated.
Despite the availability of Russian OS on open source (for example, Astra Linux, Alt Linux), companies are forced to work with counterparties using Windows and related technologies. This complicates the complete abandonment of foreign solutions.
