Wildberries May Launch Virtual Mobile Operator

Operator T2 may become a partner in the project implementation

Wildberries is planning to launch a virtual mobile operator (MVNO). The terms of cooperation are being discussed with federal operators.

The most likely partner is considered to be operator T2. Although other operators are also actively investing in MVNO projects.

Representatives from VimpelCom, MegaFon, MTS, and T2 did not respond to questions about whether Wildberries is negotiating with them about launching on their networks. Nevertheless, market participants expressed support for the entry of a new player, noting that this would increase competition.

The company "T-Mobile" is confident that the growth of the MVNO subscriber base will accelerate after the entry into force in September of the law on an independent arbitrator (SIC "Telecom"). This should simplify the number portability process. Yota also noted that they do not plan to change their development strategy due to the appearance of a new player in the market.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Promsvyazbank and a structure of Rosatom are launching a new mobile operator.
