AvtoVAZ at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum officially presented the new Lada Azimut crossover. The company's press service showed footage of the interior of the novelty.
The model was developed on its own Vesta platform — Lada B/C. Mass production of Lada Azimut is scheduled for the first half of 2026.
The car will be equipped with three different power plants to choose from. At the start of sales, customers will be offered naturally aspirated engines — a 1.8 liter engine with 132 hp and a 1.6 liter engine with 120 hp.
In the future, a new 1.5 liter turbocharged power plant with 150 hp will be added to them. According to insiders, this engine will be of Chinese origin — from Chery.
