Serial production of electric drives for rail transport will be launched in Armavir (Krasnodar Territory). This was announced by the head of Armavir, Andrey Kharchenko.
The project, worth 90 million rubles, includes the development of technical documentation, the purchase of metalworking equipment with numerical control, the organization of a section for assembling drives and components with the introduction of products for the serial production of electric drives for rail transport.
The initiative is planned to be completed by the end of 2025.
The project is aimed at reducing dependence on imported components, which is an important step towards strengthening technological sovereignty and developing domestic mechanical engineering.
