Илон Маск не планировал покупать ракету в России: раскрыты детали переговоров американского предпринимателя в начале нулевых

The American Billionaire Was Instead Interested in Acquiring a Launch Service

In the early 2000s, American entrepreneur Elon Musk was interested not in buying a Russian rocket, but in launch services (launching payloads into space). This was reported by one of the participants in Musk's negotiations with the Russian company Kosmotras.

As the billionaire's father, Errol Musk, said at the "Future Forum 2050", the Russian side did not sell the rocket, considering the offer a joke. After that, Elon Musk and several of his colleagues decided to build a rocket themselves in California. This decision became the basis for the creation of SpaceX.

Musk's team was interested not in the rocket itself, but in the launch service, that is, they planned to launch some of their payload on a Russian rocket.

The meeting with representatives of Kosmotras was brief and exclusively businesslike. Musk planned to launch several different payloads on several rockets.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Elon Musk could bypass Russia in the construction of submarines, but he is investing in a flight to Mars.
