Starting in 2024, Russian luxury cars Aurus became more powerful — now their engines produce 468 kilowatts, or 636.3 horsepower. This is almost 40 "horses" more than the models before 2023, which had a power of 440 kW (598.2 hp) in the vehicle title. The update affected the entire brand line: Aurus Senat sedans, Komendant SUVs, and Arsenal minivans.
The upgrade is most likely related to the restyling of the Senat limousine, during which the NAMI scientific center made structural changes to the fuel supply system and automatic transmission. Despite the technical update, the cars do not differ externally from previous versions.
The hybrid system remained the same in architecture: a 4.4-liter V8 gasoline engine is combined with a 9-speed KATE automatic transmission and a synchronous electric motor. The base output of the internal combustion engine is 598 hp, and the electric motor gives up to 63 hp, but the total power is now increased to 636 hp.
Sales of restyled cars in free access have not yet begun — the new "Auruses" primarily go to the Special Purpose Garage. According to Avtostat, as of April 1, 2025, 357 Aurus cars are officially registered in Russia, but the real number may exceed 500 units, since statistics on some cars from law enforcement agencies are classified.
