BELAZ presented its long-awaited new product — the heavy-duty BELAZ-79770 motor grader. The new product was presented at the "Coal of Russia and Mining" exhibition in Novokuznetsk.
The BELAZ-79770 grader is designed for arranging technological roads along which mining dump trucks will move at open-pit coal mining enterprises. It belongs to the 70-ton class and is equipped with a 600 hp (448 kW) diesel engine and a 7.3-meter wide high-strength steel blade. To ensure traffic safety, the equipment is equipped with ROPS and FOPS systems that reliably protect the cab, as well as a standard video surveillance system for "blind" spots.
After the exhibition, the grader will be sent to the "Kuzbassrazrezugol" site for industrial and operational tests. The grader tests will last 12 months, during which its reliability and performance will be evaluated under various conditions (summer, winter, with different loads). It is worth noting that "Kuzbassrazrezugol" and BELAZ have been cooperating for almost 60 years.
