The Ural Design Bureau of Car Building (UKBV LLC, Nizhny Tagil) has developed the eight-axle "Ural" model 12-5991 open wagon. It was issued a certificate of compliance with the requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union. This was reported by the press service of UVZ.
The customer of the new generation rolling stock is the Federal Freight Company. The carrying capacity of the open wagon is 151 tons, dimensions are 1-T, body volume is 176 m3.
It will be operated on the railways of Siberia and the Far East.
An open wagon is a freight wagon with a body without a roof, designed for transporting goods that do not require protection from precipitation. It can be used for bulk cargo, steel sheets, industrial coils.
