The United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) became the official owner of JSC "Marine Instrument Corporation" (JSC "MIC") on June 3, 2025.
In pursuance of the decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated December 9, 2024, and the order of the Government of the Russian Federation dated January 18, 2025, the United Shipbuilding Corporation became the official owner of 100% minus one share of "Marine Instrument Corporation" on June 3. The shares have been credited to the USC's personal account.
This acquisition is part of USC's strategy aimed at vertical business integration.
As part of this strategy, USC plans to create centers that will develop ship propulsion systems, marine instrumentation, electrical engineering, and even ship interiors. These centers will be responsible for the production of a wide range of equipment, including azimuth thrusters, steering gears, electrical networks, navigation and unmanned navigation systems, as well as ship furniture.
In an official statement, the USC press service emphasizes that the integration of MIC into the corporation will allow for more efficient use of financial, technological, and labor resources. This will also help to quickly solve problems related to the acquisition and supply of electronic component base.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a large plant for the repair of foreign and Russian aircraft engines will be built in Russia.
