In Novosibirsk, specialists from NSTU and JSC «RiM» have developed and modernized an automated high-voltage stand for calibrating and verifying electricity metering devices. The new installation is compact, easy to operate, and surpasses foreign analogues.
The stand consists of two server racks connected by universal connectors, which simplifies transportation. Initially, the device was developed to work only with combined current and voltage sensors, but during the design process, it was decided to expand its functionality.
The stand has become a universal solution: calibration and verification scenarios for both sensors and high-voltage metering devices have been added, the design has been unified, protection systems have been strengthened, and ergonomics have been improved. The updated version allows working with digital meters and effectively using devices with their own buses.
The main advantage is the high speed of operation. If previously a metrological check took about an hour and a half, the new system, which includes 20 devices, performs the tasks in significantly less time.
