Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant has begun testing the completely new Sollers ST9 pickup truck.
The car stands out with its narrow headlights and massive radiator grille. Unlike the ST6 and ST8 models, the ST9's radiator grille features a large inscription, not just the Sollers logo. Safety arches are visible in the cargo compartment, and the exterior mirror housings are partially chrome-plated.
The car's interior is equipped with a digital instrument panel and a media system with a large touch screen, reminiscent of similar units in Subaru cars. Below the media system are conventional mechanical keys for accessing basic functions.
Production of the Sollers ST9 in Russia will begin in the third quarter of this year. After that, it is planned to introduce a 7-seater Sollers SJ9 SUV based on this model, which will receive a 2.0-liter engine, automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Russian-assembled Sollers SP7 minivan became more affordable before the start of sales.
