Sealed!: Progress MS-31 Cargo Ship Successfully Passes Tests at Baikonur

Its launch to the International Space Station is scheduled for July 2025

At the Baikonur Cosmodrome, preparations continue for the launch of the Progress MS-31 cargo ship to the International Space Station. The ship has successfully completed leak tests in the vacuum chamber of the assembly and test building at Site 254.

Automated leak testing of compartments and onboard systems revealed no defects. After five days in the vacuum chamber, the cargo ship was returned to its work site and connected to ground test equipment for additional testing.

According to Roscosmos, Progress MS-31 will deliver approximately 2.5 tons of various cargo to the International Space Station. The launch of the Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket with the cargo ship is scheduled for July 2025.

Preparations for the mission continue according to schedule. The successful completion of leak tests was an important step in preparing for launch.
