A video has appeared online of the takeoff of a strategic bomber-missile carrier of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) Tu-95MS, filmed by the right pilot from the cockpit.
To the loud roar of the world's four most powerful turboprop NK-12 engines and eight six-meter propellers, the plane moves and slowly accelerates.
At a low visual speed, the bomber takes off from the ground. The tone of the engines changes, the Tu-95 slowly gains altitude. The city outskirts float past the cockpit windows, then waterlogged meadows.
50 seconds after takeoff, the crew reports: "Flaps retracted," and the bomber continues to climb.
Tu-95MS (NATO classification - Bear) is a strategic bomber-missile carrier. It is designed to destroy important targets in remote military-geographical areas and in the deep rear of continental theaters of operations with conventional and nuclear weapons.
