The installation of a unique test bench for low-power hybrid power plants (HPP) is being completed at the Advanced Engineering School of the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI). The project was implemented with the support of the United Engine Corporation (UEC).
The new bench is designed to connect HPPs with a capacity of up to 400 kW with various types of heat engines. It will allow comprehensive testing, including determining the optimal operating modes of the unit and its key components. In addition, the equipment will be used to train engineers and designers working on advanced energy systems for aviation and other industries.
Currently, the automatic control system is being configured and final commissioning works are being completed. The commissioning of the test bench is scheduled for the end of 2025.
