Employees of the Chelyabinsk NPO "Electromashina" are introducing artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into the "Okhotnik" and "Narval" combat modules, which will allow the operator to recognize and inform about enemy equipment. This was announced by Igor Afanasyev, General Director of NPO, at the MILEX-2025 exhibition in Minsk.
The combat modules will also be equipped with additional functionality to combat various types of drones.
"Okhotnik" is an advanced remotely controlled module of Russian design. Its armament is stabilized in two planes to engage moving targets at ranges of over 1 km.
It includes a TV camera, a thermal imager and a laser rangefinder. The combat module is equipped with a variant of the 6P49 "Kord" machine gun, created at the Degtyarev plant (part of the High-Precision Complexes holding). "Narval" is a shipborne version of "Okhotnik".
