The first Lada Iskra cars have arrived at AvtoVAZ dealerships in Moscow.
Photos and videos have already appeared online showing production models on car carriers and in dealership parking lots.
According to a source, only eight Lada Iskra cars rolled off the AvtoVAZ assembly line during the week of May 12. Assembly continues in a limited mode. Increasing volumes is still doubtful. The main factor holding back production is a shortage of necessary components.
The official start of sales is scheduled for July. The cars are currently undergoing pre-sale preparation and delivery to dealerships. Despite the current difficulties with component supplies, AvtoVAZ continues to work on expanding the production of the new model.
