Rescuers from Yamalspas began monitoring the flood situation in Yamal with the help of Orlan-10 drones. The drones are launched along predetermined routes and controlled remotely. The main goal is to assess the level of threat of flooding of settlements.
During the monitoring of the Synya River, 103 km long from the village of Nymvozhgort to the confluence with the Malaya Ob, no coastal destruction or congestion was detected. Ice drift on the Bolshaya Ob stretched for 32 km, and ice movement was recorded on the Malaya Ob. The ice situation remains stable on the Pur, Nadym and Taz rivers.
Orlan-10 drones can stay in the air for up to 10 hours and reach speeds of up to 90 km/h. They not only monitor the flood situation, but are also used to search for missing people and detect forest fires. Experts are confident that the use of drones will significantly increase the efficiency of monitoring and ensure the safety of residents of the region.
