A Soviet GAZ-24 "Volga" sedan from 1978 has been put up for sale at a car auction in the USA for $25,000, which is more than 2 million rubles. The announcement does not specify how the car ended up outside of Russia.
The seller claims that the car has undergone a complete restoration and is in perfect condition. To improve comfort, the "Volga" has been equipped with power steering and new seats from BMW.
Under the hood is a 2.5-liter gasoline engine with 95 horsepower, which works in conjunction with a four-speed manual transmission. The maximum speed of the sedan reaches 145 km/h.
Soviet retro cars regularly appear at American auctions and dealerships. Recently, for example, a 1976 GAZ-24, styled as a taxi, with a mileage of about 95 thousand kilometers, was put up for sale in a car dealership in Spencer. Its price was almost 22 thousand dollars.
