The Russian government will allocate 500 billion rubles over the next six years to support manufacturers and customers of ships and components for the domestic fleet. According to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, this is a record amount of funding for the industry.
According to him, in the context of external sanctions, increasing and updating the domestic fleet has become crucial for transporting goods along the Northern Sea Route, building logistics routes to friendly countries, and developing river tourism and navigation along inland waterways.
We will allocate more than half a trillion rubles from the federal budget for these purposes over the next 6 years. This is a record amount of funding for the industry. Moreover, a significant part of the funds is provided within the framework of the new national project of technological leadership "Industrial Support for Transport Mobility".
First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov noted that more than 1,600 civilian vessels will be built in Russia by 2036.
