New railway station to appear in Moscow City: construction is in full swing

The first stage will open in 2025, and the complete reconstruction will be completed in 2026

This year, passengers will be able to use the new Moscow City city station, which will become an important part of the capital's transport infrastructure. The completion of the construction of two passenger platforms and the southern lobby, as well as integration with the MCD-4, is planned.

Currently, finishing work and installation of engineering systems are being carried out on the first and second platforms. The southern lobby is 85% ready, and specialists are actively working on the exits. As a result, the station will have three platforms and two spacious lobbies, as well as 10 elevators and 14 escalators will be installed.

The new station will be convenient for passengers with limited mobility. After the reconstruction is completed in 2026, the new station will become part of a large transport hub combining the MCC, MCD-1, MCD-4, metro and Aeroexpress trains to Sheremetyevo Airport.

The new Moscow City station will significantly improve the transport connectivity of the Presnensky, Khoroshevsky, Dorogomilovo, Khoroshevo-Mnevniki and Filevsky Park districts. This will provide convenient access for more than half a million people, including over 130 thousand residents and employees of the Moscow International Business Center "Moscow City".
