During the rehearsal of the Victory Parade in Tula, an updated modification of the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system (SAM) with an improved radar station (radar) for tracking targets and 1RS2-1 missiles, thanks to which the calculation will increase fire performance, was spotted on the Web. This was reported by military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
He clarified that the radar was developed on the basis of a pass-through phased array antenna with an additional antenna module for input and output of 57E6/M and 19Ya6 anti-aircraft missiles into the radiation pattern of the main guidance radar.
A similar configuration of the guidance radar is found in the 72V6MT transport and combat vehicle of the Pantsir-S1/SM complex, which lacks the 10ES1 optoelectronic module.
At the same time, the new model has the aforementioned 10ES1 module, which may indicate a software and hardware expansion of the target channel of the 1RS2-1 radar to bring it up to 4 simultaneously intercepted targets and increase the total target channel of the complex to 5 targets.
Fire performance in repelling massive attacks by enemy drones and cruise missiles has increased to 14-15 targets fired per minute.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russian strike unmanned boats will be armed with Skvorets-VMF kamikaze drones.
