BESTAU Group and SIBUR have entered into an agreement to switch to domestic ABS plastic for the mass production of device housings. The negotiations took place as part of a strategy to strengthen Russia's technological sovereignty.
ABS plastic is a durable material used in the creation of housings for various electronics and household appliances. It consists of three components: acrylonitrile, butadiene, and styrene. Due to its strength and resistance to mechanical damage, ABS plastic has become an indispensable material in manufacturing.
Switching to Russian ABS plastic will allow BESTAU to strengthen supply chains, reduce dependence on foreign manufacturers, and support the development of domestic industry. This decision is part of a large-scale strategy to maximize production localization, including the selection of raw materials.
