In April, seven modern «Ivolga 4.0» trains started operating on the fourth Moscow Central Diameter at once. This is the largest simultaneous commissioning of new trains in the entire history of the MCD.
In just one year, the fleet of «Ivolga» trains has grown to thirty units. The newest trains already run on the third and fourth diameters, and it is planned to completely update the rolling stock on the MCD-4 by the summer.
The designers added a third door to each intermediate car — like in the metro, so that passengers could enter and exit faster. The capacity has increased by almost a hundred people, and the door opening buttons are now located more conveniently — on both sides of the car.
More than 600 enterprises from different regions of the country are involved in the creation of «Ivolga». Finished rolling stock is assembled in Tver, and the level of localization itself reaches 97%. Each new train is not just comfort for passengers, but also jobs for thousands of Russian specialists.
Domestic designers have created a truly modern product that has already proven its effectiveness in real operation. And this is just the beginning — the «Ivolga» fleet continues to grow, making Moscow electric trains more and more convenient for passengers.
