Biometric passport control is planned to be introduced at Vnukovo Airport in July 2025. A source in the aviation industry told reporters about this.
According to him, preparations are currently underway to launch the Sapsan automated passport control system (ASPC). The interdepartmental commission, created by the Ministry of Transport, will inspect the equipment in the second half of May. If the commission gives a positive conclusion, the ministry will issue a corresponding order. After that, the system will start functioning.
Currently, biometric control is only available at Sheremetyevo Airport.
