The Russian Export Center (REC, part of VEB.RF) is ready to assist in the supply of Russian agricultural machinery for the development of the agricultural sector of the Nigerian state of Niger. This was announced by Nikita Gusakov, Senior Vice President of REC.
The project for the development of the agricultural sector of the state of Niger is certainly of interest to the Russian side, which is ready to offer a wide range of agricultural machinery, and its possible implementation will strengthen trade and economic ties between Russia and Nigeria.
During the discussion, the Russian and Nigerian sides considered the possibility of supplying agricultural machinery using the available financial instruments of the REC Group and VEB.RF as part of the implementation of the state's large-scale program for the development of crop production and ensuring food security.
The first stage of the program involves the development of up to 30 thousand hectares for the cultivation of various agricultural crops (soybeans, corn, sesame, and cotton). The products are subsequently planned to be supplied outside of Nigeria.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Western brands could destroy mechanical engineering in Russian agriculture.
